I was really drawn to the ethos of the vehicle, Built on Purpose, and loved the idea of being able to go anywhere I wanted. Was initially nervous about all the chatter on the vague steering, poor turning radius, speed warning sensor and a few other things, but they truly are just nits. After putting about 2,000 miles on mine, with one 4 hr road trip, I can say, just with most things, once you get used to it, you forget about all those things and focus on the positives, of which there are many. The power the inline 6 turbo engineproduces is way better than I was expecting. The ride height is fantastic, and the ability to see the corners of the hood helps with maneuverability. Road manners, even on the Texas highways going 80mph, was very good. If you’re not expecting it to drive like a sedan, and instead know that this is a boxy truck, then it’s very very good in the road. Some little minor things like the air vent speed oscillating depending on if you’re going fast or slow or remembering to close the right door first in back (unless you want to damage the doors) - but again those are just some little things. Overall, I can’t believe the first effort from a brand new car company was this good. And it just looks awesome too.

I have owned the vehicle for about a year. Wonderful off-road and more comfortable on the highway than the other 4x4’s I have owned (jeeps and 1 bronco). It is definitely overbuilt for a purpose. The main complaint I hear is about the steering but once you take it off-road you will understand why it was built that way. Do not buy this vehicle if you hate attention! I get stopped and asked about it literally on a daily basis!
    • Best looking functional SUV

Love this SUV. It rides reasonably well on the highway which is ok as some reviews previously scared me. An Audi or Mercedes has better road manners but not the functionality. The analog controls are very easy to use and one reason I bought my Grenadier. The styling is unbeatable and I get many, many comments on its great looks. The mileage is much better than advertised- I get 19 plus on the highway at 76-78 miles an hour and 15-16 all city driving. The seats are very comfortable and have a high site line. I bought the step up rails and they don’t go out far enough for your feet to step up with, I still recommend that option however. The premium sound system is good but not top level but it’s all you need. You still have a touchscreen and it works well once you get used to it. I do wish there were instructions on how to set up your favorites for channels etc. the sunroof(s) are easy to use or remove and are manual which I also like. Bottom line I love my Ineos Grenadier and so glad I bought it.
